Zoroastrianism?

Brian, et al

I notice that Zoroastrianism is not included among the monotheistic faiths. Now while it is certainly not post-Abrahamic it is equally certainly monotheistic. So can we have it included or at the very least give it its own forum?

I may be mistaken here, but, from what I understand, Zoroastrianism isn't monotheistic, but dualistic. If anybody can correct me here if I'm wrong, please do.

Re: Zoroastrianism?

Early Gathic Zoroastrianism is indeed monotheistic, it is the later 'versions' in which dualism became a major force, especially in the Zoroastrian heresy called 'Zurvanism.'

Zurvanism posited that 'Zurvan' or 'Time' had created all that is & had two sons, Ahura Mazda and Ahriman and that these two & their eternal struggle was the driving force of the universe.

Re: Zoroastrianism?

It's mainly because there's a principle of creating a board for a faith only after a few threads have been created on that faith.

However, there's been a general complaint against that policy for some time - maybe I should set up something new very soon.
