Zen haiku by Madan G. Gandhi
1.
A contrite heart, no less sacred than Kaaba, no less than manas lake. 2, You cannot know the self by eloquence, by sharp intelligence or erudition, only a loving heart receives his grace. 3. Every fish breathes in the needed air, in the low or the high tide, oblivious of the ocean wide. 4. The wheeling universes always on the run, longing for soulful union. 5. Tired with turning the rosary the realized know only one word, love. 6. Let love burn in your every pore, its warmth shall open the secret door, one step more shall make you free. 7. To fulfill your heart’s desire fling these piles of books in the passions’ raging fire. 8. Continence the root restraint on the path of ascent. 9. Calm of mind, a heart that craves not, makes one free of the wheel. 10. Where you get to know who you are, all your questionings cease, that is the light of zen. Madan G.
