Re: Which history would you visit?

I would love to have been there when the Salam Witch trails were on, to find out what was running through the thoughts of peoples minds to want to kill others for trival things

And to have been there when the first pyrimid was built

Re: Which history would you visit?

A question that I'm uncertain was answered. Would you be stuck in that time period you visited? Most of history may have its ups, but it also has its downs (long wars, slavery, more prejudice and discrimination). I would actually be more interested in seeing the future of our planet and if human influence has delt a lot of lasting damage.

Re: Which history would you visit?

Well I am hoping that it is only just to visit because I wouldn't want to stay in the Salam witch trials because I don't think that I would survive very long because of the way everyone accused each other, truthfully I am amazed there were quite a lot of people alive by the end of it

Re: Which history would you visit?

Hold that tought.... I been focusing too much on PAST history.... What of future history? I want to visit the time when everyone is a good looking woman who wears hardly anything and that doesn't leave too much to the imagination... And funky fake ears and other bits of alien make up.... Where I can teleport.... sweet... Maybe weed will be excepted with an embrace of open loving arms then?

Re: Which history would you visit?

That is what people need :\ Seriously... A spokes person who will go on TV and be blunt and be real, and be pushed around by none.... Facts, nothing else no hidden agenda..... A person who will go LIVE on tv... and say *bleep* that, that is a bunch of *bleep*, Oh yeah well he can just *bleep* my *bleep*, Taxes? *bleeeeeeeep* *bleep* Maggie thatcher *bleep* so *bleep* the *bleep* and you know what? *bleeeeeeeep* and that you can take to the *bleep* bank. and so on....

Why do they pretend to be something better? Something amazing? They are no better than us, if they could only realise that, we'd have a better situation ;\

Re: Which history would you visit?

Can we do more than one?

I'd like to visit India approx 5,000 years ago with a digital camera - the Indus Valley, ancient Saraswati river area, Dwarka region before the floods. It would be worth it just to stop all the arguments between modern historians, although the real purpose would be to do some Krishna spotting.

Then I'd go for Bengal (Gauda-desh) in the early 1500's to try and meet the two saintly fellows who started the public "Hare Krishna" movement.

While we're at it, how about an off-planet history. Ancient Moon world... might be a bit sparse. How about the moment the first word was spoken in our universe. That would be something to write home about!

Re: Which history would you visit?

I'd love to visit (preferably pre-Christian) Anglo-Saxon England, to get a feel for it that just isn't possible from books. I'd like to hear Beowulf told by the fireside and to hear all those stories that no-one ever wrote down (will have to brush up my Anglo-Saxon first ).
