Re: Where Will You Spend Eternity?
... sound of falling stops with splintering crash, a door panel shatters inwards, and the manic face of Thomas appears in the gap... "Hee-e-r-e-es Tommy!"
(Tommy, who will never look anywhere near as cool as Jack Nicholson, is banking on the fact that he is the image of his father, and that on a good day dad could be mistaken for Robert Mitchum ... perhaps I should have come up with a reference to 'Cape Fear', rather than 'The Shining'?) ![]() |

Re: Where Will You Spend Eternity?
.....................I begin to get the distinct impression that this subject isn't being treated with the seriousness it so richly deserves..........
..or is it ?I remember during my own fundamentalist days, our main speaker had a sign emblazoned with just those words......Where will you spend eternity? His sermons, on sunday afternoon street corners, were a delight to the ear.......(well, his ear anyway, most other ears had disappeared long before the end) Boy, did he take himself seriously! P.S. If anyone wants a few prime excerpts from his sermon please PM me..........WARNING: not for the delicate or those of a nervous disposition. |

Re: Where Will You Spend Eternity?
2 funny... folks are happy with purgatory or limbo...anything else and they're jealous of Francis and Snoopy!
Little work it appears any of us could go either direction...gotta take the test over to see...ie answer everything 'wrong' accept salvation and see if we can hit the top. Now for those of you that didn't answer the sex questions or any questions for that matter...despite the result on the computer...all else being equal...those answers are already written and computed in the big book eh? |

Heck no! Get it out in the open - start a thread somewhere!!! Some things just don't lend themselves to seriousness do they? But do lend themselves so easily to levity! I don't think this is hijacking cos it was posted as a tongue in cheek kind of thing I believe. s. (PS your fundamentalist days? Now I'm worried... ) |

I can't seem to get out of purgatory, no matter how lustful, panderous, and fraudulent I try to be!
The Dante's Inferno Test has sent you to Purgatory! Here is how you matched up against all the levels: Level.........................Who are sent there?........................Score Purgatory...................Repenting Believers..........................High Level 1 - Limbo.........Virtuous Non-Believers.........................High Level 2................................Lustful.......... .......................Moderate Level 3..............................Gluttonous......... ....................Very Low Level 4.........................Prodigal and Avaricious...................Very Low Level 5..........................Wrathful and Gloomy.....................Very Low Level 6 - The City of Dis.........Heretics.............................. .Very Low Level 7.................................Violent......... ........................Low Level 8- the Malebolge...Fraudulent, Malicious, Panderers........Moderate Level 9 - Cocytus................Treacherous................ .............Low |

You know what this means: Silas was right! We're all a bunch of filthy rags. Oh, the shame....!
I have a nice condo right on the lake of fire if you niners are interested. Bought it as an investment property when I was an atheist. Chris |

Re: Where Will You Spend Eternity?
Bingo, Chris. Yup. Filthy, filthy, menstruation rags. That is what we are.
I just .....is my attitude showing...oh dear....what level am I now....I was hoping to get down to the freezing point so I could speak face to face with some of those traitors! Ugh...pardon me folks...I need to go find some sychronicity or some Love or God help me, some wisdom.... As I told a good friend recently--we all dance. Some of us waltz, some of us tango, but eventually all of us tiptoe through the TULIP with Silas. Sorry, Silas--I don't even know if you read this stuff, but I am trying so hard. Oh wait--this is supposed to be a funny thread. Okay-- InPeace, InLove |
