Where is Zoroastrianism?

I no longer see an entry for Zoroastrianism among any of the listed faiths. Can someone tell me why?

Re: Where is Zoroastrianism?

We have a section on the main site:
http://www.comparative-religion.com/zoroastrianism/

but I don't think we've ever had a dedicated board on CR, though it's long been considered.

Trouble is, as our resident Zoroastrian keeps buggering off, and when he does come back, he doesn't tend to start discussions on the faith.

If you're saying you plan to be around and want to start discussions on the faith, I'd be happy to set up a dedicated board for you.

Yeah, fair comment. I'm a bit of a bugger like that. I sometimes wonder if it is possible to have an attention deficit disorder that covers your whole life. My Myers-Briggs PTI shows me as an ENFP and I'm afraid a fairly extreme one at that.

I'll try to stick about a bit more.

No problem.

You may not post often, but I've noticed some good posts in there rich with information. If you feel you can isolate a couple of threads that could immediately start off a Zoroastrian board I can get one up ASAP. I tend not to like setting up boards with no content on them.

I would be interested, kiwimac. I read your posts. Start a thread or two. I will find them.

P.S. Besides, you have a cool sounding screen name.

Re: Where is Zoroastrianism?

Kiwi...You've got my vote also.

Lots of Christian imagery began there in Persia so long ago. It is from Zoroastrianism that we obtained our firm commitments to beliefs in dualistic systems, good/evil, light/dark, etc.

Just look at what Kubrick did with the composition, Thus Spake Zarathrustra, in 2001.

This religion-based fight today with Iran may be rooted deep in the past. I'm not buying much into the nuke argument as the real root behind the issues.

Please... do proceed with all deliberate speed.

flow....
