Using the I Ching?
I'm curious as to the actual purpose of using the I Ching.
Is it actually used by people to define their lives on a daily basis - or is it a many layered concept, where seeming literal meanings have many far deeper interpretations? |

Namaste brian,
for this topic, i can only approach it from the Spiritual Alchemy schools. the I Ching is a complete description for the process of going from a mortal to a spiritual immortal. When Fu Xi observed nature he wrote his observations down and these became the I Ching that was used by the people to guide them during their development. Taoism was plagued by many dangerous byways and side tracks.. one of these was using the I Ching as an oracle or fortune telling device or so the Spiritual Alchemists hold. i'll see if i can dig up any of my text notes on this and i'll try to get them posted here asap. |
