US 'censored' green report

It's sad to see how far of an influence business has on the US national approach to environmentalism.

Here we have a report where the oil industry not only has a promiment environmental report allegedly censored from properly referring to Global Warming - but it also replaces information supplied by petroleum companies to specifically refute this information:

That's typical really and doesn't surprise me. May as well ask Exxon to proofread it.

Doesn't surprise me either.

Then again, I'm some would argue that the British government has taken similar steps with regards to genetically modified crops. Perhaps not on the same level, but the claim exists among campaigners that the intention was there. So I guess there's a possible wider topic here.
