Renting? Kind of like a job or a marriage? Or do mean the more proper word: Faith.

What have you had, that was good, and bad, what do you have now that is good and bad, why are you still here, asking questions (a good thing I think). And what is your next step?

In otherwords, how can you justify your existence, based on what and where and who and how, and "WHY" you have been?

Human. Looking for answers, like the rest of us. Jesus (lol) was looking for people just like you. (ok, me too)

Anyways, once you define your life, and let Jesus get hold of it...your life becomes redefined again, only you, have no problem with it. That is sailor's truth. (hard to come by).

Re: unredeemable?

You cant throw away or lose or sell, what you dont have or own. God owns your soul. God is God and is in total control. You might be blind now and have no fear of Him, as you should. But, one day the reality of God will be all to real and you will, as everyone will, bow the knee and confess that Jesus is Lord. You should really fear God and keep His Commandments. Not sure if you'll even listen to me, but I thought Id say it anyway.

Re: unredeemable?

Mat 12:31-32 "And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come."

Mark 3:29-30 "But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin." He said this because they were saying, "He has an evil spirit."

Re: unredeemable?

To throw away your soul, figuratively speaking, just waste your life and become a man/woman wholly of the world.

Terrence, I wouldn't say God is totally in control, what with the free will we supposedly have and all.

Blazn, what is the point of quoting those passages? I think it would be better to quote the Greek passages, and even then these verses are supposed to have an esoteric meaning. There's no way that blaspheming the Holy Spirit would be a one way ticket to Hell for all eternity, in the sense that I think people understand this.

Re: unredeemable?

there are those who have been given the way and they deny, god knocks and they deny, the holy spirit reveals the truth and they deny. and that holy spirit speaks to your heart, for it knows even the depths of god, and when you curse it for revealing the truth, because you love the darkness you deny it and grieve it, and then one day you die without ever accepting christ although he was revealed to you, this puts oneself in position to be unredeemable, and seperated from god for eternity.

Re: unredeemable?

OK, in that case, it's no different from dying without repenting any other sin. It's basically the same as choosing to remain a person of the world. Some people interpret that verse as saying that once you blaspheme the Holy Ghost you're doomed to Hell forever, no matter what you do. They then proceed to reject God because of his unwillingness to forgive them, etc.

Re: unredeemable?

it is different, because the bible directly says so. so anyones argument would be against scripture.
