Two types of Taoism?

Is it valid to distinguish between philosophical and religious Taoism as per here? http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A980958

Unless you've got some sneaky insinuation hiding behind the word "valid", I would say yes, from my understanding the two are quite distinct.
