Turkey

Turkey certainly seem to want to play the whole Iraq crisis to their advantage. Despite the financial package in return for allowing US troops to enter Turkey falling through, with the decision blocked in the Turkish parliament, the Turkish authorities appear eager to get their hands on Kurdish territory, and perhaps even the oil-fields of Northern Iraq itself - not least, as a bargaining tool if nothing else.
