Not sure if this is the appropriate category but how can I ask question to the admin?

Can the admin please change my username from CPInteract to iKwak?
Thanks.

I'll have a try, though I'm not sure how possible it is.

I'll go into admin now.

I'm getting a message that there is already a registered user by that name, and that duplicates are not allowed.

Do you have the name already registered??

I tried registering iKwak and I have received the same message.
However, when I tried to retrieve the password for iKwak, the new password went into my old account's email address.

Can you try PM'ing that member, if that member does exist?

I've found the iKwak profile - please do e-mail me the password and preferred e-mail address you would like for that member, and I'll happily change them manually for you.

Done.

I've reversed the two aliases, so you should now have iKwak as your main account.

Thanks and a confession

Thanks, Brian for this website and forum.

I come from Straight Dope Message Board. I seem to have been locked out for I don't know what reasons -- but I can think of some, which to my own estimation don't at all deserve a lockout.

I was looking for ways and means to contact the SDMB administration and moderators and fellow members, but it seems to be all in vain, receiving everytime the same message that I am not allowed to access...

So I found Polycarp through Google and your website, and thought I might contact him to find out what's my violation, meriting being locked out.

About your format, the quick reply button, I can't find in the messages.

Thanks again for a very good website.

Now that you know my background, will you also lock me out?

The way I see it, my messages and ways of posting are not at all as irritating as I have seen in others.

I have stopped trying to access SDMB, it gives me a chill everytime, being refused entry.

I'm afraid I've no idea of your situation at SDMB. It is generally preferable to keep issues between different websites separate and on their own respective boards. Hopefully you will find an answer soon enough, though.
