Yes seriously, the feathery ones on the blue background I would hang on my living room wall or over my bed - they are gorgeous and I would pay good money for a picture that makes me think.

I really am sorry I can't join in but I am one of those heathens that doesn't understand art and either "like it or don't". Well the world would be a boring place if we were all the same. I would not be brave enough to hang the others in my home as they make me feel scared but for an artist that must be a good thing - you want people to feel your art do you not?

You are really very talented - do you sell your art? Are they all computer generated or do you also work in "other mediums" (is that the arty term? lol).

Re: The Gallery...

As I said to Inlove I work with basically anything and everything. I have done airbrushing for body work on Motorbikes/cars Done oil paintings of sceneic country side, used chalk and charcol to show great stary stary nights Used a scrap car to make a sculpture of a dragon heh, sits watching over (protecting) my back yard... If you can make an image with it, I'll use it. I have also using digital art made t-shirts and leaflets for some church for orphans in america lol I made them about a year back, I think it was in Arizona... That was a great feeling to see all these kids wearing t-shirts with an image I made on it... Quite the buzz. Again the gentleman asked how much in payment I wanted, but I could never charge for anything.... It is a form of beauty Beauty is free. I love doing requests and things, because at times obviously your ideaas run dry, and then someone just jogs something into your mind and it's purley for enjoyment.... I am a material person, but I, just don't charge people for my art lol....

17th,

Could you tell this technophobe how to reduce a picture enough to allow to post it here. Also do you know of any decent free software I could find online to start me playing with images?

Ty in advance..

That is a lovely attitude but I fear does not pay the bills or make your art popular (ie take it to the masses)? Not going to chop your ear off or anything daft are you? Could you not get an online gallery, that would get your work seen by so many and I really think your work deserves a BIG audience.

That makes sense. At first I read "ignore your dones" (past tense of deeds) Okay...

Truly it is quite thought provoking.

Re: The Gallery...

I was aiming for "Who is it that is saying that?" Is it the man in sorrow? Is it the one that has passed on offering strength and assurance? Is it a divine being(god)? Or is it just me..... lol.

All three. And they say there is no trinity.

I haven't ever had the opportunity to try oils, but I really would like to. I have acrylics (they were a gift) and I have been staring at an almost finished painting for nigh on three years now, lol. I like it, but it needs something. I am pretty comfortable with pens and pencils, so I am thinking about looking into paint pens. Hmmm...I don't really know what I am doing, but I enjoy it. I'd like to post it, but I guess I need to finish it first, huh? And then I would need to take a picture, find a scanner, figure out how to make the whole thing fit. I might even use it as an avatar. But I just know that it will not look the same in the light of the computer screen, so then I would need to modify it. I wonder if a plain old paint program would work for that purpose....

InPeace,

P.S. Oh, and I love the slug!

Re: The Gallery...

Angel,

Everytime I see the title to this thread, I think of this ....and the album art there right beside the lyrics just happens to be the inspiration for the painting I told you about. And here is that artist's gallery --pretty interesting stuff. (Browsing by year works well; just start where you land and keep clicking the first little arrow.) Just thought you might enjoy it if you haven't already seen it.

Re: The Gallery...

Would look forward to seeing that, a basic paint programme say for example Windows: Paint will not offer you such details but there are a few free softwares such as Paint.NET (software name not website) or GIMP (I hate this programme. lol.) But I guess it has options to modify texture/light in a basic way, but it is a far more complex part of software than it need be... Failing that Always my top recommendation is Adobe Photoshop Elements .5
