hi wil,

So this is what you've been waiting for, man needed to be in Heaven?? What on the 6th day pertained to heaven?
ok, i know you may be confused so here we go. the whole thread started because God didn't proclaim heaven as good. in other words He wasn't done with it yet. if you notice at the end of the 6th day:
Genesis 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
so he didn't complete heaven until the end of the 6th day when he proclaimed everything good.

...and what do you think the being that never rests complete on the 7th day before He rested?
you ready? heaven and earth. in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. everything in other words.

wil,
Quote:
Gen 1 has sometimes been described as prohetic for Gen 2, in other circles I've heard that Gen 1 was thought and Gen 2 manifestation which allowed for the differences between the two.
ok, from what i have read in the bible, Genesis 1 is a summary of ALL of God's creation. again, a summary. then it jumps to Genesis 2, the actual details of the story. formation of adam, fall of man, etc.

Quote:
Are you seeing both Gen 1 and Gen 2 as prophetic?
i see the whole bible as prophetic. nothing is trivial. everything has a prophetic meaning. what i do is chew my food instead of just swallowing it. do you know what i mean?
Quote:
I'm assuming you mean prophetic as in the coming of the Christ, or could it also be seen as not actual manifestation but allegorical prophecy of evolution?
i mean prophetic like we are actually living during God's creation process. He isn't done yet making us in Christ's image, godlike if you will, for we will be Children of the Most High.
God bless you.

yeah but it gets a little tricky as the order of events is different with your actual details than the summary...that is why I thought you were getting at one being prophetic

I'm with you there my brother, on one level our autobiography is already written and every situation in our lives can be found in the pages of that book!
