Re: Stupid, Ignorant Things I Have Done

I got so many...

As a teenager, I skiped school a half a day with friends. We stole some beer (Never put a cold beer down your pants) ( America's dumbest criminals would have loved that one) got drunk and went back to school. Threw up in class and got suspended.

Tried to make a "cat" walk like a human.....bad idea......

Picked a fight with a pack of dogs. really really bad idea....

Cursed at my mother......woke up 2 days later in the hospital. really really really bad idea..

Re: Stupid, Ignorant Things I Have Done

I stuck a piece of wire in an electrical outlet in highschool...all the lights went out, but the intense flash from the outlet lit up the entire room...and me.

I filled an aliminum foil tube with hairspray and set it on fire in class, then stomped on it when the teacher looked at me; it caught my pants on fire.

Good times!

Had to help my Mom carry in the groceries...

Tried to see how high I could throw the Drano bottle and catch it...

Caught it, cap came off, left an acid burn mark on my belly.

Ex-girlfriends, ex-wives - believe me, that counts!

Exes in general count, I believe (not just exes of the female gender.) I have six ex-boyfriends that could be considered mistakes.

Re: Stupid, Ignorant Things I Have Done

Now now this whole ex thing...and I guess the stupid thing in general...

There is that thought.

"We always do the best with the knowledge we currently have."

For every single stupid thing, every ex, every ignorant thing...it is all hindsight today. But while we were there, in that moment, we summed up all our knowledge, all our experience, all our wisdom, and made a decision. We did that thing, we loved that person, we married'em, slept with em, whatever they were our other half...and...

"It seemed like a good idea at the time."

So while we look back on our decisions then, we must be aware that we are currently doing things now that we will look back at differently in the future, but the reality is...that was all we had then to offer...and this is all we have now....relish it, respect it, it is us. And those ex'es...they were what we needed at that moment...and however we grew apart and whatever lessons we learned...they played a role, a role we asked them to come into our lives and play....

I think we should have fun with our stupid things...but with gratitude!

peace and blessings...
