Re: September Birthdays

Hey Laurie Lunamoth!

It is finally your birthday! I gotta tell you, I was so disappointed because you were the reason I did cupcakes this month to begin with, as you are kind of famous around here for yours. I had so much fun putting together a nice plate for your birthday—it had the prettiest little lunamoth on it—different than the one on the original picture I made for the cake tower. But, as you may have already read, I lost a bunch of files since then, and so I lost my good picture. She was great—she had the whole “lunamoth ballet slippers/petticoat thang” goin’ on! Anyway, this one is kind of messy, and so I am a bit embarrassed, but I hope it shows up okay. Just ask J.H. how upset I was about all this!

And so it wasn’t until last night that I realized even if I do recover some of my files from the hard drive, it would not be in time to post that one. So, at least I was able to get back the program I worked with before, and I have been trying to re-create the picture—been ‘sugar-frosting” all morning! LOL. It really isn’t nearly as good as the first one, but here ya go—

Raspberry swirl ice cream, anyone?

I’ll leave you, then, with these words….they seem to apply to how I felt when I lost the other file:

“Someone left the cake out in the rain….
I don’t think that I can take it
‘Cause it took so long to make it,
And I’ll never have that recipe again….”

(Chuckle, chuckle)

Have a great day—love ya, dear luna!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LUNAMOTH!
InPeace,
InLove

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LUNAMOTH!

InLove

InLove it is beautiful and I can't imagine how you could put a petticoat and slippers on a moth! I am pleased (and hmbled) that you would go to such great lengths to make such a special present for me! *guilt sets in for not being around as much as I used to*

It is perfect Sept weather here today, and even though Roger is out of town now he will be back this evening. My new puppy is a lot of fun so I'm going out to play and spend time with him today, and I also have a 'playgroup' with Ella and a bunch of my mom friends. So, it will be a wonderful day.

Again, thank you so much, and to everyone for the birthday wishes!

Much love,
luna

Another (internet, the lazy way out) cake for Lunamoth! Happy B-day! Don't be afraid to have seconds, thirds... fourths!

Enjoy,

Re: September Birthdays

Mmmm....now THAT looks good, Pathless.

Laurie, I'm not sure that the little pic will make such a good screensaver--haha. When it gets big, there's lots of flaws! Oh, and actually, I didn't literally put ballet slippers and a tutu on the lunamoth. I have just always thought that if you look really close at one, they kind of look that way, anyway. Ever noticed?

I sure hope you had a nice day with your l'il pup and your family. Sorry about that gopher--he is a troublemaker, isn't he?

Re: September Birthdays

Thank you much Flow, Jack, Pathless. Pathless...that cake knocks my ballet slippers off! What a pretty one...so wish that and the one InLove made were sitting on my desk right now, although they are really too pretty to even cut.

I've had a nice day everyone, thank you for your birthday wishes. I got cards and flowers from my family, and best of all the puppy, Tucker, is tuckered out so I get to read a few posts before I go to bed.

You are all so wonderful...thank you.

I did not think about what would happen if I enlarged it...oh well...it's pretty as it is. I never thought of the ballet slippers and tutu on the luna moth. Being a plant physiologist, to me the wings always look like perfect leaves, including tiny unopened buds on a twig that runs along the top.

I had a great day. Wish I could have played golf, but when I'm golfing again that will mean that my girls are more grown up, and I'm not in a big hurry for that to happen.

InLove, you made my day. :hugs:

Laurie

Oh just chocolate please, lots and lots and lots of chocolate with chocolate frosting. I like them still warm with lashings of fresh double cream. (I am never going to be skinny ).
