Re: September Birthdays

Hey lunamoth!

Just saw your post. We must have been posting about the same time.

Thanks for the compliment--yeah, that cake site is pretty cool. By the way, I've done some more work on your cupcake as well, and so stay tuned...

Re: September Birthdays

And for Mahud:

Since I don't think we have ever spoken, Mahud, I guess I will just send you something everyone recognizes--a great big smile?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAHUD!

If you like cake, here is one made specially for you. Your avatar is very interesting! I kind of researched it....but that doesn't mean I can recreate it very well, especially with sprinkles! Anyway, I thought it looked like it might go nicely with some pistachios....hope you enjoy.

InPeace,
InLove

Re: September Birthdays

salaam, MW--

Of course you can join in! Mark was beloved here in C-R, as I am sure he was and is in other places.

While you are here, have some cake (when fasting is over). There's plenty to go around.

InPeace,
InLove

Oh please don't say cake during the day this month, or water and definately don't say cigarettes.

Re: September Birthdays

Oh, sorry, Sally--guess I wasn't thinking!

I don't know if this will help--but something I do when I am not eating, or can't eat, is to actually set my mind to enjoy thoughts of how I will prepare a meal in the future for someone to enjoy. It is somewhat of a paradox, but it works for me. I even watch the food channel sometimes, just to watch other people enjoying....I know, I'm crazy!

A thousand blessings to you during this Ramadan....

salaam

Deb

Re: September Birthdays

as salaam aleykum habibty

It is funny you should say that but my mother and sister in law deal with ramadan in much the same way. The men and myself (because I don't do the cooking during ramadan back home) are all chewing our clothes and getting so frustrated but the women just spend the day preparing the breakfast and they do it with such joy, knowing the family will all eat together that night.

It is more difficult being back in the UK because everyone around me has no idea it is ramadan, so just carry on as normal. I am really missing having breakfast with the family this year, never mind, next year will back to normal inshallah.

Salaam

Re: September Birthdays

Hi...Yes, a thousand, thousand blessings to you and yours ,and a blessed ramadan.

Sorry Sally, but I'm having to bake some whole grain bread loaves and a fresh peach pie today. We heathen infidels need and crave our carbos. If I could teleport a fresh loaf to you after sundown, I surely would. Still about ten years off I estimate.

flow....

Re: September Birthdays

How about having me send you some brownies (via :kitty: Deliveries )? Just name the kind you'd like and I'll see what I can do.

Re: September Birthdays

Here's a birthday that is not on the original September list. This individual is not even a member of C-R. But I just can't help it, I gotta say:

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY, MY DEAR CASEY!
I LOVE YOU

Ah yes, I remember that day very well...

Looking forward to seeing you, little Casey.

I also love it when what happens surpasses what I had planned. I didn't get to be in the room this time (hospital rules have changed--only two people besides the mother and medical personnel). But my oldest daughter, the mother's sister, has never had the opportunity to see the other side of childbirth. She has always been the one delivering the baby. I thought it time she witnessed this beauty from a new perspective. I could see how much she wanted to do this in her eyes. I will never regret my decision!

By the way--Casey is 8 lbs., 2 oz. And he is 19 1/2 inches "tall" (at least he was a few hours ago ) And he is beautiful.

InLove
(In case your mother is reading this, tell her I did not make you a cake because I heard that you were getting your own tonight, served to you while you relax in a blow-up swimming pool. What's up with that, anyway? Do they think you are going to make a mess or something? )

Re: September Birthdays

Hi dialogue is the best (I'm not quite sure how to spell your name, but I have a feeling this is what you meant--I hope you don't mind me switching the letters around a bit.)

Anyway, today is special, so thought I would say....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DIALOGUE!

(Sometimes lurking is good, too? Especially when eating cake!)

InPeace,
InLove

Re: September Birthdays

Hi Jamarz

In case you happen to get by here again—just wanted to wish you a great day. I would have fixed you a dessert plate, but alas I have recently experienced some pc problems, and I am still working on retrieving all my programs and hopefully my files. I neglected to back up some things, as well, so we shall see.

But you are welcome to pick from any of the little cakes you find, and in the meantime, I remembered that you are fond of sun tea. The weather here is still warm enough, so here ya go! Hope you enjoy, and

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JAMARZ!

(You may need the iced tea after all that--looks tiring!)

InPeace,
InLove

Re: September Birthdays

*a pride of :kitty:s and a bevy of lunamoths enter stage right and head straight for center stage, a pair of :kitty:s with a small banner loosely tied to their tails. The :kitty:s "tune up" as the lunas gently perch on a set of chimes, then, after the :kitty:s are ready, they begin "singing" as the lunamoth "orchestra" strike the chimes, the pair with the small banner raise their tails, exposing what is printed on it:

Happy Birthday, lunamoth!

*after their performance, the :kitty:s with the banner lower their tails, then the :kitty: chorus and lunamoth "orchestra" exit stage right, a couple of kittens and a couple of lunas performing some tricks for lunamoth before following the rest of the musical performers*
