Re: Review my blog?

Be afraid. Be very afraid…

Look
I like the colour scheme a lot – very tasteful and easy on the eye.

Function
Couldn’t find any malfunctions and I suppose it’s early days for the links to things that are empty at the mo? What about the links to the German techies – is that normal? I don’t mean is being German normal, I mean….of never mind.

Content
Content-wise it’s like reading across from CR; so it’s self evidently your “real” personality (not that I’d expect anything else!). Enjoyable to read – a nice conversational style.

I can’t make a comparison with other blogs cos I don’t indulge in them. And glad the frog went. As much as I love cats, might a more appropriate image for the blog be one of (say) a cat and a dog cautiously checking each other out (nose to nose)? Or something? Oh heck, I don’t know.

Was that brutal enough Sally?

I am afraid of nothing ........ except annoying the big guy upstairs, running out of brownies, snakes, getting old, finding out my husband has a second wife, crossing the road, taxi rides in Egypt, sharks, ....... I'll finish the list later, it would take too long

Is it too monotone? Red and Grey, everything is red and grey.

I can't get rid of them, I have searched high and low for a way but the file everyone tells me to look in doesn't have the links to remove. Will get to that soon I hope (or find some nice helpful techi peson who will offer help).

Am I being too wordy? I tend to do that but it is hard to judge your own writing.

Well I did find a nice puppy & kitten together but thought it might be to 'girly'? What do people think - cat or puppy & kitten?

Yes thank you. One of my favourite programmes is Dragon's Den (where people try to get finance for their new business idea) and so often you hear them say 'well everybody loves my .......' and the dragons reply 'you mean friends and family love it!'. So I need honest input, not just friendly encouragment. So thank you.

salaam

Or perhaps duotone?. Well it's a personal thing at the end of the day. It's not day glo jump off the screen but then I wouldn't want to sit for too long in front of such a thing reading.

I think it's fine. And with the "read more" option you can scan through headings and snippets then dig into the ones that interest.

Yeah, I've seen the trailer - where the rich woman is laughing as she crushes the tiny poor person under her shoe. I find it a most apt image of the modern world.
