rebirth vs. reincarnation
Over in the Alternative section there's a thread on reincarnation, in which Vajradhara brings up the point that the Buddhist idea of rebirth is different from the Hindu idea of reincarnation. I know that in their entirety these are both very complex concepts, but is there someone who'd care to take a stab at explaining the difference(s) to me? I know a bit about Hinduism, enough to at least follow an intelligent conversation, if not necessarily have one
, but my knowledge of Buddhism is fairly limited and superficial. |

Re: rebirth vs. reincarnation
Namasté Scarlet Pimpernel,
There was a very good discussion that I found while seaching this site. It is very detailed in the replies and may be of interest. Here is the link: How is rebirth/reincarnation different in Buddhism vs Hinduism? |
