Re: Question: Why does Allah allow suffering and evil in the world?
If God, Allah or whichever name you choose to give that which was 'the creator' put evil here to test us then surely he must doubt himself and his ability to create well. Whatever flaws are in us are his flaws.
Pure Evil is thankfully a rare phenomenom, though acts of cruelty and inequality are all too common. Love is what unites us, love is what breeds altruism. I do not believe that it is God or Allah that created Love any more than He created Evil. Evil is the child of pain. That pain can come from a cruel parent or a natural disaster and produces a twisted damaged person who lives out thier pain through acts of evil. Yet the brother or sister of this individual can react in entirely the opposite way despite having suffered the same pain.
Love and Evil therfor I believe to be the product of the human psyche. A child of 4 years can be assessed and a prediction as to them being criminal or altruistic in thier adult life can be made. A child of 4 has not embraced satan any more than it would understand God. And if God created them allready handicapped by negative psyche then what can God be called other than cruel?
If you want to hear your Masters voice find it not in a book or the talk of a career preacher. Instead take 2 seeds and plant them. With one you must give it a rich healthy soil and water and feed it according to its needs. Plant the other in clay or sand free of nutrients, drown it with water only when no moisture is left in the soil. Study both and ask which gave you the greater pleasure and you will hear the voice of your master. Either way that master will be you.
