Political Compass

http://www.politicalcompass.org/

I scored;

Economic Left/Right: 2.88

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.51

Looks like I'm political centrist leaning toward libertarian.

How about you?

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -4.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.51

Visually, right about the Dali Lama and Gandi on their map. Tough call on some of the questions, though - they need an "it depends" option.

Re: Political Compass

I've taken this before. As I recall I was somewhere near Mahatma.

Namaste all

interesting take on the "belief-o-matic" religon tester

Economic Left/Right: -3.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.08

looks fairly close to H.H. the 14th Dalai Lama and Nelson Mandela

Econimic Left/Right: -4.00

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.82

Looks like I'm right in line with the Dalai Lama and pretty close to Gandhi.

No politicians near me. That's a good thing, IMHO.

Re: Political Compass

you know...

after taking this test... i've had to rethink some of my conclusions regarding my political views and so forth.

i used to think that i was a right-leaning conservative... as it turns out, i'm a leftist liberal!!!!!

goodness, what a paradigm shift!

Re: Political Compass

I am southwest of Gandhi, which does not surprise me because I am a Green who leans towards socialism.

Re: Political Compass

I am afraid to inform some of you that while this test is a very good test, it is a little but bias liberal. It is still one of the best political quizes I have tooken, but I suggest that some of you retake this quiz and think more carefully on what the question is trying to say (I suggest Vajradhara do this ).

The first time I took the quiz I came out as a centrist leaning toward the left (which suprised me) but after taking it a few more times it came out to what I really am (centrsit leaning toward the right ).

Re: Political Compass

actaully, i really couldn't answer many of the questions honestly since they were couched in rather discrete terms of agreement or disagreement.

some of the questions used terms like "always" which i have to disagree with, even if i agree with the general idea.

eh.. i am sure that it will make for interesting dinner conversation
