noahide
hello/shalom
i have read a couple of threads here about jewish views on jesus and mohammad and have taken an interest in the idea of the noahide laws. can you expand a bit please. i have heard the idea that there may be non-jewish messengers to other peoples and as long as they are in line with the noahide laws which were meant for all people there is no problem.....but what if the "other" message or religion, although it is in line with noahide, contradicts the jewish scriptures? thankyou ![]() |

Re: noahide
it depends what you mean by "contradicts". don't forget that the *non-noahide* commandments (the other 607, in other words) are only commanded for us jews. hence noahides could be commanded to say, eat pork by their prophet. that would be OK i would think, but if you mean a statement in someone else's holy book that specifically says that the Torah is wrong about x, y or z and tells them to go out and try and separate us from our laws, that would be problematic.
