Re: meaning of sin?

Yes, but to be in the dead center, there has to be something on either side of you. And the opposite of what is on the left side, would be on the right side. I believe the point that Jesus was trying to make was about the actions of a human being. Which would make him a psychoanalyst. Is heat the action of a human being? How about light? Or time? None of these are actions of a human being. And as far as religion is concerned, that's all we are really talking about. Right and wrong actions. This is what makes something a sin - when it is a wrong action. But wrong to who is the basic problem. What one culture deems correct, another culture deems bad and evil. This is the basic problem in determining sin. Who is right?

Perhaps, but then which side of a circle is opposite of center?

Oh, and welcome to CR Revernd.

That's a good point, Quahom. No matter what direction you go, you are off balance, then. But I just can't seem to see my life as a circle. (and thanks for the words of welcome)

Unfortunately, BlaznFattyz, people can't seem to agree on what Truth Jesus was trying to say. There are over 300 inconsistencies in the Bible. I have a theory that they were put there intentionally to see if we could figure it out.

Peace,

Kelly

I didn't mean it that way. One's life is within a circle or a sphere. But that doesn't stop one's life from moving along a path. The object while walking that path however, is to remain as centered as possible.

Why not? It would be a brilliant way to keep man thinking about God...

Re: meaning of sin?

Let's try to keep Piers Anthony and the "Adept" series out of Biblical discussion...eh?
