Re: Marijuana

I used to smoke loads of weed.

To much is bad for your mental health, smoking anything is bad for your physical health, and it makes you very lazy.

But in moderation its OK, in fact i miss it sometimes

Re: Marijuana

I recently watched a wonderful documentary about marijuana called "Grass". Anybody interested in the history of marijuana in the United States should definitely see it. All those with prejudices against weed really would be surprised.

In the film, it actually talks about a scientific exploration of marijuana that was done over a six year period, which reported virtually no ill-effects from smoking it or ingesting it in any other way, and said that it didn't eventually lead people to kill people, go insane, act drastically different from their normal personality, die, get very ill or have a desire for harder drugs.

I have smoked plenty of grass in my life, and I never had any ill effects from it. It's just a nice way to relax, chill out, have a good time. I have driven a car multiple times under the influence of marijuana, and haven't experienced anything like what they say happens. It just makes you feel happy and a little sleepy, or happy and silly, or happy and philosophical.

I haven't tried any other drugs besides weed, even though I had the opportunity, and though I've been smoking recreationally for years, I haven't experienced a tolerance to marijuana. My friends still like me, I did alright in school, and my family didn't disown me. I have a loving partner, and no problems sexually. I have put down marijuana for a year, picked it up, put it down, and never felt a craving (like I do for nicotine cigarettes). I have refused marijuana (something I could DEFINITELY never do with nicotine cigarettes).

Most of my friends and my partner have smoked it before and we're all normal people. It's just a stigma, and if you found out for yourself, you'd see there's no real weight to a lot of the rumours. Of course, I would never advocate doing that, as it is breaking the law in many countries. (...stupid law.)

Most people would say "yes", because they AS INDIVIDUALS have no "use" for these plants, but each of these plants can be put to some "useful" purpose.

A weed is merely a plant that happens to be in a place that is inconvenient for me.

The only bad thing I can think about marijuana is that it causes impared memory, but that might be the result of thousands of years worth of genetic mutation to our DNA, making our brains not up to par with the perfect brain God gave Adam.
Cute, you manage to hypocritically hand-wave away any problems associated with marijuana use--how convenient for you.

Re: Marijuana

I was with a guy for 10 years that smoked weed almost daily... and I am not exaggerating that I had witnessed him grow more stupid and forgetful as the years went by. His dealer just died at the age of 45 from emphysema... They wont say if it was from the pot.. but you can only think it probably did.

I dont miss it a bit, and I certainy dont miss the "crap" that goes along with it. The bad company, the fear of being caught, the paranoia, the so called friends, the whole thing just isnt my thing anymore and hasnt been for a long long time. I know, I know, theres nothing worse than an expot smoker to preach, so I wont. LOL. it is only my experience......... and never again. lol

Re: Marijuana

The greatest health risk posed by marijuana is entirely human in origin. It has been deemed a "sin" by the priests of government worship. However, that particular cult has a lot of temporal power...

with many multiples the tars and carcinogens of those found in cigarettes, there are obvious health issues, lung cancer and emphysemia among them. Now these could be avoided by vaporizers or ingesting, but not many consume that way.

Short term loss of memory, weaker cognitive function which appear during usage appear to extend beyond usage with continual usage.

Killing, fighting, insanity...this is all hyperbole a mistake of the overzealous folks who no little about the effects and negatively affected their anti drug campaigns by such exagerations.

Leading to harder drugs occurs by proximity...as a smoker you are breaking laws, you are purchasing from folks who are breaking laws, you are hanging out with folks that are breaking laws, you end up hanging out with folks who do cocaine, heroine, abuse prescriptions etc. and by association the liklihood of you trying the above increases...quite simple.

Lastly, when you have a problem with any issue...tis always harder to see from the inside.

Genesis 1:29-30 (New International Version)

29 Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so.
