Re: Jesus,St.issa,Buddhist connection

Hi Chezz & welcome. Wasn't that long ago I was cruising the web but don't remember what search topic & stumbled on much discussion re the supoosed text discovered in Tibet re Jesus supposed visit there during his lifetime. It was a very good article that stated that this claim had been made by some I believe european writer in a book early in the 20th c.e. but later writers interviewed some of the same Tibetan monks that writer claimed had shown them this secret text who stated it never happened. But, if you really want to check for yourself, please do your own net wanderings. Of course, many folks who've seen some of my other posts would know I believe there's a great deal of compatibility spiritually between buddhism and Christianity whether Jesus ever visited "Buddhhist" territory or not. Take care, Earl

I just ran a quick search, and this is about the only thread I can find any immediate discussion of Jesus in Tibet:
What causes you to disbelieve the Bible?

As a "neo-buddhist-Christian" I did find fascinating a newly published book about a real text discovered in China in the late 1990s in an old taoist/buddhist temple that retold the Christian story through the lens of that native belief system & told of how Christian beliefs were introduced there in the 7th c.e. by a group of Christian missionaries. See:

Take care, Earl
