Re: InLove

Randy,,,I just looked back and Deb's final post was on 10/24. She was talkling with me about how great Emmy Lou Harris was and is. The sweet songbird.

Anyone who wishes to remember Deb for who she really was, an uplifting spiritual presence, should listen to some of Emmy Lou's music.

From now on, whenever I hear a songbird, you know who and what I will be remembering in my heart.

And remember what adjective Deb used most often when referring to CR...beloved.

Re: InLove

Jack, my condolences. Deb was a lovely person, and I feel blessed to have known her through CR. Her posts were uplifting to me, and I will really miss her. Love to you and all her family. I always think when I hear of someone passing, that we feel the loss but they are given great joy in going to their true home with God.

She is now truly wrapped "InLove" in a way that only comes with our return to God.

Blessings to you and yours,
Kim/Path

Re: InLove

Randy, I have no words. This news hits me like a physical blow. I am so sorry for your loss.

Deb was a wonderful kind person and has helped me with her words and faith on many occasions. It's amazing how much someone can touch our life even when we never meet them in person. I am thankful for her life, her friendship, her love. I will always remember her.

Love,
Laurie

I shall light a yartzeit candle and say Kaddish for her the day of her funeral.

I shall miss many of her lighthearted posts, PMs and emails (I have the PMs and emails she sent me saved.) I hope you will contact me through email (I hope you received the one I sent) since I, too have gone through this with my mother (oh, sh!t! Mom and IL together, possibly chatting about me! )

Re: InLove

Randy,

I am so sorry.... I haven't yet experienced how it feels to lose someone you love and are so close to, that must be.... (there isn't a word I can think of that can even match it.) terrible... I admire your strength, my thoughts are with you and the girls in these very hard times.. And as you said, celebrate her life, hard to put in to practice I am sure.... But, I am sure that is what she would have indeed wanted.... With memories of happiness and good times, she truly lives on in our memories... Dear Jack - I offer my sincere condolences. Deb will be sorely missed by us here.

I feel very fortunate to have had the chance to exchange some messages with her before her time of passing.

Love & Peace,

Re: InLove

Randy,

It is obvious how much you two have affected this community. I so honor you for informing us, and allowing us to share in this time, it is truly a blessing.

We've shared only a short time here with her, and a virtual time at that, but we have so enjoyed her here. I also read thru past discussions. She questioned, she contemplated, she nudged...we've all benefited from that experience.

Re: InLove

Sometime back, I had a private conversation with Deb concerning how much she missed her mother (I guess it wasn't long after she lost her). She said that she was finding some solice in listen to Paul Simon. I suggested she listen to this one:

Mother and Child Reunion
by Paul Simon

No I would not give you false hope
On this strange and mournful day
But the mother and child reu-nion
Is only a motion away, oh, little darling of mine.
I cant for the life of me
Remember a sadder day
I know they say let it be
But it just dont work out that way
And the course of a lifetime runs
Over and over again

No I would not give you false hope
On this strange and mournful day
But the mother and child reu-nion
Is only a motion away, oh, little darling of mine.

I just cant believe its so,
And though it seems strange to say
I never been laid so low
In such a mysterious way
And the course of a lifetime runs
Over and over again

But I would not give you false hope
On this strange and mournful day
When the mother and child reu-nion
Is only a motion away,
Oh, oh the mother and child reunion
Is only a motion away
Oh the mother and child reu-nion
Is only a moment away

She had forgotten about this song and really appreciated reminding her of it.

Now that the reunion has come, she is happy again.

My prayer are for you and you family, Jack. I celebrate her life and the memories of her words here on CR has brought comfort and smiles to me. Won't be long before we are all reunited.

Love & Peace,

Paul

Re: InLove

Thanks for letting us know, Randy. Deb had a great spirit. I will miss her presence here very much.

For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun?
And what is it to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered?

Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing.
And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb.
And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance.

--Kahlil Gibran
