Re: I say

OK...I looked up Timmy Mallet and see that he's a TV personality acoss the pond, but I'd never heard of him, which isn't so unusual. Would he be upscale as compared with , say Benny Hill, or no ? And 17th...you have a much more classy look than he does, and would venture the opinion that you could probably out-prophesy him at any turn.

Re: I say

Oh no Flow, Bnny Hill was very funny in his day. Timmy Mallet was just a huge plonker that drove Britain crazy, he had one of those annoying voices and was convinced he was funny (although no-one else was, inlcuding his mother).

17th, the keys to the playboy mansion? Well get those bloody girls to put some clothes on will you, they must catch a cold regularly. Oh and can I borrow your swimming pool?

Flow touching, veeeeery touching... Timmy Mallet wasn't "that" big.... Also Benny Hill was from a different era you know? When americans think of English comedy is it like standard for the first name to be either Benny Hill or Monty Python? lol...

Re: I say

17th, don't forget Jasper Carrot and Kenny Everett, oh and of course John Cleese and The Young Ones. Where did British comedy go? Do we actually have any real comedy characters anymore?

How did I forget Peter Sellers. {MW goes to stand on the naughty spot}

Now he was a true comedian. So what constitues a good comedian? Do they need to be a good entertainer or just have some funny lines and a good sense of timing?

Re: I say

Oh without doubt Flow, charm and wit all in one man.

Have you heard of Billy Connelly? So very funny and an amazing eye for the absurd side of human nature.

Re: I say

Hi...Forgot to second the mention of Peter Sellers...absolutely brilliant.

Yeah...Billy Connelly, that's the guy with wild gray hair that uses the "F" word a lot...very funny, even without the "F" word. Great stories !

flow....
