Re: Happy thread
I see this thread and I think of the happy silly songs I enjoy...
Mares eat oats and does eat oats...
Obla di Obla da...
and all the silly camp songs....
silly makes me happy...
and there is a lot you can do without the green leaves...
and when you do silly things without the green leaves there is quite a different level of enjoyment...and knowing you can attain that 'high' without external substance is way cool....

But, not as much as you can -with- I've experienced this "life high" that you speak of... Without the precious little bundles of fun that hug snuggley to those green leaves, I wouldn't have... But again, sure it's good... But, not AS good.... I think some like to pretend it is... as a deterent to their temptation to grab ahold of the peace pipe and say AAAAAAAA OH!!!

A couple of decades ago I would absolutely agree with you. I was baffled at the people that didn't, couldn't believe the folks that quit. Most folks would not believe the amount that went up in smoke at our house every day. Most folks that came by and saw it couldn't believe it. If anyone had told me I would ever quit, or ever enjoy life without it I would have thought they were nuts.
But reality is, singin in the rain, frolicking in the grass, coming up with absolutely incredible insights or ideas (that actually stand the light of day the next day), laughing uncontrollably....all the things that used to think were off shoots of being a little or a lot under some influence....can be attained without.
And there does exist some interesting aspects of being the sober, the straight one...when the silliness really occurs...
Not being judgmental....because my day may come again!

But... Can you say you can't do that while a bit green? :\ Walking back from Tesco's in this rain lol while listening to some happy wind pipe folk music or whatever lol that is great... I think you can do all of those things with our without.... I cannot laugh uncontrollably without... But all the others I can do without, but prefer with

Yeah laughing at those who are not.... I wouldn't wish to dream of seeing myself as I am normally but with sober eyes... It would be a horror show I am sure.... So much I pick up on and make such a point about anything.... I become like Newton and his apple... :\
Anyway... Is it age? Age experience? Or is it having experience of this influence... But I find most who have or still use such things... Can appreciate to some extent this "life high"... But, I honestly would say I wouldn't have experienced that without green... And some other chemicals that help "balance" my face. OR could I say well, I am becoming more mature... So I begin to appreciate life and understand certain things maybe just ever SO slightly more.... And who knows... I am ranting..... I think I will cease, as this will go on if I don't.... I saved you all there.

Re: Happy thread
Yeah 17th...I believe it is the age thingy. You know, you just reach a certain point where you make a conscious decision that life is just as sweet or sweeter without the bother, expense, and in my case asthmatic symptoms. So you let it go and life goes on in an OK way. But y'know. It was all fun and good... and, you go ahead guy !
flow....

Life does indeed seem to get sweeter... But, In my opinion it doesn't hurt to enhance it... Just an iddle liddle bit.
