Re: Happy Birthday, Lunamoth! :)

Looking again at that picture Bandit, what is really cool about them can be seen in the photo. Not only do their green wings look just like leaves, they have a brown band across the tops of the wings that look like a twig, complete with little "buds." Talk about great camoflauge. It's amazing!

Hi Q, your wife knocks your socks of when she sees luna moths? Just kidding, I know what you mean. Well, the moths don't knock my socks off like my hub does, but then again, I see a lot more of him than I do the moths. I've only ever seen two in the wild.

I think you are just angling for a kiss too. *Smooch!*

Kindest Regards, Lunamoth!

did you get to see the awsome Autumn moon the other night?
Yes! Wasn't it gorgeous? Isn't it called the "harvest moon?"

Saw an absolutely breathtaking rainbow yesterday, the most complete one I have seen in many years, and crystal clear colors! Didn't quite find the pot o' gold though, guess I'll have to keep looking!

Re: Happy Birthday, Lunamoth! :)

Hi Juantoo3, you are probably right. By Chinese tradition it is considered the "most full" full moon of the year. My second daughter's Chinese name comes from the fairy of the Autumn Moon Festival.

I have not seen a rainbow in such a long time--guess I need to get out more! I was also reflecting the other night that I don't get out to see as many stars as I used too. Need to change that.

Thank you again for the birthday thread. It brought me a lot of smiles throughout an otherwise hectic week.

cheers,
lunamoth
