Happy B-Day Bananabrain!

Happy Birthday BB!

Wishing you many, many more!

I appreciate your help this year on a variety of subjects. Keep up the good work.

Warmest Regards,
Mark

p.s. What is the origin of "bananabrain"?

Yup, sure it your birthday--I got it written down right here on my l'il ol' calendar! So happy, happy---enjoy!

(And I second Mark's appreciation for the way in which you have covered some topics recently. It has helped me a great deal.)

I'm just thoroughly impressed you all not only recognize but remember each others birthdays...I'm so not engrained this way, my daughter tells me when my Mother's B-day is...I don't know my nieces and am fairly certain I will miss my kids B-days at some point in the future...

But...HBD BB! and much redundancy on the info dept. I as well as many appreciate the perspectives and patience you have with us all...and I also watch with interest when you get at the end of that patience...you appear quite comfortable in your beliefs as that line seems well defined.

I often see posts which I look forward to your response from a "I'm looking forward to when BB finds this to get his scholarly/sprititual/informational take on this" and then there are those when I say "Oops, I know what is going to happen when this post is spotted by BB"

I also am intrigued to find out how your heads content of mush/pottasium was so increased so as to receive the moniker...gotta be somethin else.

ah, guys, that's sweet. but birthdays? baaah .... humbug. but i look forward to further curmudgeonly posting this year.

the moniker, incidentally, was first heard in blackadder series 4, ep 5 ("general hospital"); although the only person who's ever seriously asked me what it meant was a retired german investment banker - curiously, enough, in an interfaith environment!

BB:

I'm surprised you didn't say...birthdays, bollocks !

Seriously though, I'd like to join the others in wishing you a happy day and many more years of enlightening us here at CR when we so obviously need it every so often.

I knew a kid in grade school many years ago who's moniker was banananose. The reason for it was obvious to us. Your name is non-obvious, which is the accepted hallmark of originality and novelty.

Awww, I missed the party. I tried to bring you a present but it wouldn't fit in the post. I have to tell you though these slippers I got you are very warm and fit me perfectly. I can't wait until the vegan pizza I ordered for you arrives.

Happy Birthday, BB. May you have many more.

Re: Happy B-Day Bananabrain!

as we say "'ein mazal be-yisra'el" (there is no star sign for judaism) but as we also say, "ooo, jewish astrology, that's been going on a long time".

i say "harrumph".
