God's Love

Came across this old "camp" song and began contemplating how magnificient God's Love is.

Pass It On
Words and music by Kurt Kaiser

It only takes a spark to get a fire going,
And soon all those around can warm up to its glowing.
That's how it is with God's love:
Once you've experienced it,
You spread His love to everyone,
You want to pass it on.

What a wondrous time is Spring,
When all the trees are budding,
The birds begin to sing,
The flowers start their blooming.
That's how it is with God's love:
Once you've experienced it,
You want to sing, it's fresh like Spring,
You want to pass it on.

I wish for you, my friend,
This happiness that I have found.
You can depend on Him,
It matters not where you are bound.
I'll shout it from the mountain top, (Praise God)
I want my world to know:
The Lord of Love has come to me,
I want to Pass It On.

I'll shout it from the mountain top, (Praise God)
I want my world to know:
The Lord of Love has come to me,
I want to Pass It On.

This song has more meaning for me than ever, even when I was at camp, having felt and experienced God's Presence and Love in such countless ways in my life. I wonder how many know what I'm talking about. I wonder how many don't know what I'm talking about.

Do you know God's Love?

Have you passed it on?

I am very glad you shared that. It's the little things that can touch us the most sometimes.

Re: God's Love

Dondi..

Great post

This wasnt from a camp but a beloved and well-remembered hymn from my childhood.. this song still brings it for me I got goosebumps racing up my arms then and I get them now..

As The Deer

As the deer panteth for the water
So my soul longeth after you
You alone are my heart's desire
And I long to worship you
You're my friend and you are my brother
Even though you are a king
And I love you more than any other
So much more than anything
You alone are my strength, my shield
To you alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my heart's desire
And I long to worship you

That is one of my very favorites, too, Faithfulservant. Wasn't part of my childhood, though. I learned it later, and I think it is beautiful.

InPeace,
