as the word used for "prince" in ezekiel 46:17 is nasi, which is also a word which can refer to a "leader" as well as a "king", it is likely that this refers to the Messiah - in fact, this is undoubtedly one of the textual supports for proof of messiahship - i.e. we'll know the guy's Moshiach because he re-establishes the sacrificial cultus of the Temple. naturally this is, from my PoV, hardly a support for jesus's own candidacy.

Thanks BB for sharing your vast knowledge of the Torah with us.. Its invaluable really.. Im sure you know that you didnt say anything to refute my beliefs but you gave me wonderful insights that I didnt have and I treasure learning anything about the holy words of G-d..

i'm not here to refute anyone's belief unless it is an incorrect view about my own tradition. and if you think my knowledge is "vast" (which it isn't) you should talk to a real Torah scholar, not someone like me.

and even moreso for a christian scholar who not only understands all about the torah, but the new testament as well. it is indeed interesting to learn the traditions of the jews as it was gods way of setting apart his people at the time.
