Keep intruding? On CR? On a thread like this? Like we stay on topic anyway?
Anyway Thomas fear not, you'll just make me laugh.
Just watching the whole thing again, didn't really get into it when it was shown first time, but am now the proud owner of both series on DVD. Contrary to what some folk say I think the second series is just as funny; maybe people were just used to the style of it by then? Statham is my favourite character I think - the "abduction" of Joanna nearly caused me to have an internal injury!

Well if you're going to be so mad as to take any notice of me I'd recommend one of his collections of short stories. Perhaps this "Best of"?
Amazon.com: The Best Short Stories of J. G. Ballard: Books: J. G. Ballard,Anthony Burgess
"In the introduction to this volume, Anthony Burgess hits on the central importance of Ballard's work: "Ballard considers that the kind of limitation that most contemporary fiction accepts is immoral... Language exists less to record the actual than to liberate the imagination." If you agree, buy this book."

In the inimitable and unforgettable words of our conservative saviour and G-d head, Ronald Reagan, "Trust but verify."
And I humbly add, the "iron lady" agreed.
Amen...music swells to a faux climax...flow visits Amazon to spend some $.

Ok, enough fooling around. This is creepy but it gets us back to the issues that I wished to explore in my first post on this thread that Electic Mystic rescued from Dattiswami's onslaught.

I know, worrying isn’t it! But flow and I seem to have a mutually compatible senility, so the disclaimer don’t apply. Anyway, there’s been times when I’ve nearly fallen over the brink and taken you seriously….

Snoopy, and I say this from the bottom of my heart to a fellow in good standing (sitting ?) at the "OF" corral...
NO WISDOM IS CRAZY. If it is wisdom it automatically reflects the ageless truths of nature.
Be well my friend, I'll let you know my impressions, and I'll see you on the front porch in our cane bottom rocking chairs when it is time.

If you insist buddy.
"Chögyam Trungpa describes "crazy wisdom" as an innocent state of mind that has the quality of early morning-fresh, sparkling, and completely awake."

Well my fine friend, I'll admit that "crazy wisdom" may be just be another name for the "ageless truths of nature".
I know your game, you've got Amazon stock and you just want me to buy more books.
