----!Elephants!----

Stupid of me to bring up the subject of elephants in this forum? Well if I'm not mistaken elephants are sacred to the Hindu faith?

I personally believe elephant are very intelligent animals but also have a very large conscious and a big heart.. The closest I've ever been to one was probably down at London Zoo.. The thing is I read somewhere that elephants have been known to commit suicide by drowning themselves to death if they lose a close partner from being so distraught. And also they help each other out greatly in certain circumstances.

Just hope to hear people's views.
