eid mubarak

...to all the muslims on CR.

this year, the new moon of ramadan coincided with that of rosh hashanah, the jewish new year. may it be the will of G!D that this year brings peace, justice and tolerance to our communities all over the world and that we realise that living and working together will help us more than fear, suspicion and rabble-rousing. our community here in cyberspace is a little start, but a start nonetheless.

was-salaam/b'shalom

Re: eid mubarak

Shalom Alaykum/Assalamu Alaikum

Thank you for your wishes regarding eid day.

It is really good to know that the new moon of ramadan coincided with that of rosh hashanah. I hope it will help people of the two faiths to come closer. As I know, Islam and Judaism are the two different faiths on the face of earth having astonishing similarities.

May God help us all.

Note: By the way brother. Why you wrote "G!D" instead of "GOD"?

thanks

Jibran

Re: eid mubarak

jibran - my spelling of G!D is to denote that i am using the english language to signify a concept that is by its nature beyond language.

pluckyali - as far as i know it's an arabic word! and why shouldn't i use it?
