Re: Earliest humans traced to East Africa

Pretty interesting article! I actually read a book recently called "Origin of Language" which, by comparing the similarities of languages all over the world, came to a very similar conclusion as expressed in this article. Amazingly, the author showed with truly exhaustive examples that not only did the oldest humans emerge from Africa, but that the seed of human language emerged from there, as well. What he goes to show in the book is that when you take into consideration the latest findings in linguistics AND the latest findings in DNA, the strength of the hypothesis that both modern man AND the first inklings of actual language emerged from East Africa is overwhelming.

The idea that language, too, came from the those original peoples is certainly not an idea that is addressed by most scholars, as it is still theory. However, the evidence offered in defense of this theory is truly compelling.
