Dryads

Hi all I was just wondering have any of you had any experiences with dryads?
It was not until recently I had become aware of them, as I was reading about a ritual to attract dryads,
But still it has seemed to open my heart and mind to the tree spirits, I havent seen them nor felt them but as I was going past trees that have been cut down, I felt loss,
Of course I usually feel annoyed when I see tress cut down but this time it was different.
Anyway looking forward to hearing of you experiences

Re: Dryads

Two words (or, shall we say, four words) - Sidhe Uaine (Foliage Spirit).

Re: Dryads

The tree has it's own spirit so when you feel the loss passsing by a tree that has been cut down, in my experience, you are sensing the loss of "life", the life of the tree. The dryad can choose to interact with a tree's spirit, but I wouldn't think that the dryad would "die" when the tree dies ... it would likely move on.

Re: Dryads

Thanks I, Brian ... I sent a friend here to brush up on her comparative religion and I came accross this forum. "Dryads" typically draw my attention
