i can relate 190% & not only relate to that method of how God works but I understand & have lived it in the same light. you spoke so genuine & true, that it really uplifted me tonight & i just wanted you to know that. it seems so complicated at times, then other times it fine tunes itself & we get that rest, comfort & confirmation through the Holy Ghost & the scriptures. it is neat and & I love Him for being the great & wonderful & merciful God that He is and, I love you too. ![]() |

Re: Does God interfere?
Hello!
I thorougly enjoyed the previous posts, I think there are some very enlightened people on here, and since the original post asked for feedback from everyone, I'll attempt to give my view. I will definitely admit, even though Buddhism cautions against getting too caught up in phenomena, I too have noticed some sort of seemingly orchestrated events in my life. I find I can really relate to what Lunamoth has said (I've read several posts and am very glad to be able to get a chance to post something I can relate to); Quote:
I will come in to my class, tired after work. Usually there's some little thing bothering me from earlier in the day. My teacher, a Buddhist nun and sweetest lady in the world, is an excellent story teller and always... ALWAYS, manages to relate a story specifically to what was bothering me. I have talked to close friends who go to the class and have had the same experience. She'll cover all of our situations in the same short hour and a half! Car problems, kids, work problems; she will almost always, very specifically, speak on it without any prior knowledge of our situations. It's kind of earie. She'll just give real-life examples of the teachings and it all comes out! The books I have read, too. That's why I settled on Buddhism. It speaks to me, clearly. I have no issues with Christianity and can understand why so many people turn to it, but I don't feel it's a purely Christian phenomenon. I too, have had signs in my life. I think it's really interesting that people with different faiths can be so seemingly different and yet have such similar experiences. It's like we're all saying the same exact thing but using different terms to describe it. I think different ideas resonate with us all differently but we're all on the same track. I think the idea is to not get attached to the "interference", but recognize it for what it is and keep looking... So yes, I think something interferes, whatever "it" might be, (in Buddhism) perhaps our dormant Buddha-nature) giving us a poke now and again to wake us up a little bit. Namaste, ~Ricky ![]() |

Re: Does God interfere?
Hi Bandit, Thank you for the kind words.
Hi Ricky, perhaps our traditions cause us to express these experiences very differently but I agree that there is a Something More that urges us toward enlightenment, however we might understand it. I would say it is the promptings of the Holy Spirit, but an awakening Buddha nature says it as well. peace, lunamoth |
