I must admit, there version of history might not be totally accurate, but who the hecks is? They are quite universally socially aware and seek the best for the Jewish people out a 100% passive approach, from this praise they could take it alittle too far I must admit. But I think they reflect certain truths.

they do *not* fulfil the prophecy - it is a typically self-serving interpretation. it is no more valid than al-qaeda claiming that it's interpretation is the only one of the "seventy sects" mentioned in the Qur'an that is "correct" and that all the others are "in the fire".

yes, you see, this source, in their interpretation, entitles them to sit in their study houses and synagogues all day living on the charity of others and propagating the most absurdly dismissive viewpoints of those who work for a living - they do not pay taxes, they refuse to recognise that anything other than their lifestyle is a valid choice. if it was left to them, nobody would have any food, there would be no business or economics, there would be nobody actually producing anything - in fact, we'd all be carving things with rocks on animal skins, because there'd be nobody to work in the paper or pencil factories. these guys are complete and utter maniacs and they have nothing but contempt for anyone who isn't jewish and nothing but hatred for anyone who is jewish but doesn't agree with them. their only use is to people who want to parade them as "pet jews" to prove that they aren't really anti-semitic.

what you don't seem to realise is that they would have no concept of the idea of "history". they would hold anything academic to be devoid of value, because as far as they're concerned if it isn't Torah (and by their assessment very little apart from Torah study actually is) then it's hokhmah yavanit - "greek wisdom" (you know, like philosophy, poetry, aesthetics, music, art, geometry, mathematics, useless rubbish like that) which is not only forbidden but is actually a device of ha-Satan.
