No, unless she's transgender. The only thing I recall of the gent's name is it is either Arthur or Anthony (perhaps Alex) C.

Re: Daily Wisdom Saying

Dr. Frederick Patterson founded the UNCF sixty-five years ago... So that clears that up, But, I will look to see where your quote came from.. All I can find out is that it is an advertising slogan/motto.... *keeps checking* All I find is Vice-President Dan Quayle, how he muddled it all up, funny how his name comes up everywhere yet the person who made this peach of a saying is hard to trace.... :| Sorry I can't help!

What did he have to say about it? "The mind is a terrible thing to taste?"

Die! die! die! die!
So what, it's your problem to learn to live with.
Destroy us, or make us saints
We don't care, it's not our fault that we were born too late -
A screaming headache on the brow of the state.
Killing time is appropriate -
To make a mess and f*** all the rest.
We say, we say -
So what? So what?
Die! die! die! die!

Die!
Now I know what is right
I'll kill them all if I like.
I'm a time bomb inside.
No one listens to reason.
It's too late and I'm ready to fight!
So what? Now I'm ready to fight!

That's so funny, that's the one that caught my eye, too. So What? I used to love that song. This is not the stuff that Daily Wisdom Sayings are made of, though.

Re: Daily Wisdom Saying

And the computer guru says "Google Thyself".
And a student asked "but why master?".
It was then we were told "For to google thyself is to know thyself, and to see thyself as others see you".

(available on shirts and mugs)
Google thyself : Odd Thotz : CafePress.com

As a NetCop I actually do frequently recommend to people that they should google their full name, social, phone, address, parents, children, etc. If you are on the web, it pays to know why.

Re: Daily Wisdom Saying

My yogi teabags say today:

"The moment you love, you are unlimited."

and

"The soul is projection. Represent it."

Deep, that last one. It's like a Zen Koan to chew on.

Re: Daily Wisdom Saying

“If students of the Way desire to become Buddhas, they need not study anything of the Dharma whatsoever. They should only study how to avoid seeking for or clinging to anything. If nothing is sought, the mind will remain in its unborn state and, if nothing is clung to, the mind will not go through the process of destruction. That which is neither born nor destroyed is the Buddha. The eighty-four thousand methods for counteracting the eighty-four thousand forms of delusion are merely figures of speech for attracting people towards conversion. In fact none of them exist. Relinquishment of everything is the Dharma and he who understands this is a Buddha, but the renunciation of ALL delusions leaves no Dharma on which to lay hold.”

Re: Daily Wisdom Saying

thought this was funny:

"before you criticise someone,
walk a mile in their shoes,
that way when you do criticise them
you'll be a mile away and have their shoes!"
