Re: Daily Wisdom Saying
Whenever a feeling of aversion comes into the heart of a good soul,
it's not without significance. Consider that intuitive wisdom to be a Divine attribute, not a vain suspicion: the light of the heart has apprehended intuitively from the Universal Tablet. - Rumi |

Re: Daily Wisdom Saying
When one advocates Buddhism, one has already transgressed the Buddhist teachings, because the doctrine of Buddhism is a doctrine that leaves behind the attachment to ‘I.’

Just bought "Mutual Causality in Buddhism and General Systems Theory: The Dharma of Natural Systems" (don't that title just trip off the tongue?) Not heard of her before, can't even remember how I came across this one. Anything you want to tell me? s. |

Re: Daily Wisdom Saying
Yes, well. Ahem.
**takes the podium** Fricken Rad is a lesser-known Vanir goddess of the Norse tradition. A hermaphrodite (the current preferred term is 'intersex') god(dess) of mischief, research, communication, music, and dice, she was later simplified and subsumed into the figure of Loki. It is rumored that, on the advent of Ragnarok, Fricken Rad will return as an outlaw scholar, shooting verbose blanks and non-violent fireworks into the margins of society, laughing all the while as the world floods, burns, festers, and burps. Reputedly she will ride a giant, pimply dolphin in the frigid arctic, broadcasting rebel radio waves of delight, reggae, and rap to the under-12 crowd, who will be the only ones light enough to comprehend the divinity of her lunacy. After the Christians ascend to their milky heaven in the rapture, Fricken Rad will usher in the Age of Unreason and Creativity. Among pantheist witches, she is associated also with Dionysus, Kali, and the more drunken boddhisattvas, such as Alan Watts. ----------------------- I should totally set this up as an article in wikipedia. ![]() |
