Re: completely useless thread

Did meat play a role in the Buddha’s death?

It is claimed by some that the Buddha died because he ate putrid meat, thought to be pork. It is also asserted that he condoned eating meat if you did not know, hear or suspect that the animal was killed specifically for your own consumption.
The first point has been researched by scholars and the majority of them conclude it was not meat but a poisonous truffle (a type of mushroom) that killed the Buddha.

Oink!

Re: completely useless thread

I don't think that is entirely useless information. And besides, you can't say "Buddha" in the lounge, depending on who you ask, of course. But if you don't ask anyone, then the rules don't apply to you. I mean, they couldn't, could they? Interesting stuff....but perhaps a bit useful for this thread. Who am I to judge?

I am turning off the screen so I won't look at it instead of getting something useful done.

Re: completely useless thread

I can't see how it can be useful, unless one was thinking of eating putrid pork or a poisonous truffle but then read this and decided to desist.

But sorry about the B word. B******* only from now on.

(If you don't turn your screen back on I'm going to start making a high pitched screaming noise - that'll make you pay attention. )

Re: completely useless thread

InLove...duly noted regarding your opinion relevant to usefulness...but I HAVE performed with, shall we say, wider than ordinary musicians who reeked. Also some musicians of the wider persuasion who smelled as sweet as a strawberry pie. I'm only asking about the physical requirements for their stages upon which they perform. But I have disgressed too much into the realms of usefulness. Forgive me.

When I saw "B*******" on that other thread, I thought you were swearing! (same number of letters)

Well was I?

At the risk of getting philosophical in a supposedly useless thread, I actually typed "B*******". Is "B*******" swearing?

Discuss...!

Re: completely useless thread

Dear flow,

At the risk of appearing stupid, I forgot what I was going to say. Oh yeah! I have performed with wide musicians as well, and I feel that I can safely say that there is no difference in the message of the music. In regard to spatial considerations, I cannot comment because it brings us around to actual concerns, and we cannot do that here. Like I said, it's nothing personal, and there is no need to apologize. It's just the freakin' system.

InPeace,
InLove

Me thinks it stinks.

Sounds like the truth but not the whole truth to me....ie yes it was poisoned truffles but they were in the freakin pig!!

First you can say Buddha, as long as you are refering to a body part...and one does not have to specify the body part, secondly bandwidth depends on skill level and effeciency...with one band they may take a lot of room playing say "Hold that tiger" to allow room for the trombones...in another the clarinets simply duck.

One does not need to turn on the screen to peform something useless, simply not tell us about it on this thread.

Useful info may be included with sarcasm....

Did you have to count them all?

I am not sure. Some might say it would depend on the usefulness of counting them all. So, is not knowing something useful?
