Re: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare....

How many 18 or 19 year olds get swayed by radical, rebellious ideas? They are adults but their ideas are not yet settled, they have not yet learnt enough about life to disconnect from such things ........ what about your poem on the other thread

I know that but it is a brilliant demonstration of what we are talking about. Young minds explore, they are easily swayed to extreme ideas and they are not as connected to the realities of life.

I don't mean to insult young people, some are very sensible but some are not.

Wow, 17th. Methinks you need to unplug from the technology and go for a walk, bro.

Get some oxygen flowing in your addled and anxious nervous system. Too much artificial stimulation has cranked you up. Too much identification with a virtual reality is agitaiting for you. You need a break. Maybe a nice Autumn breather.

Or you could just continue to blow stuff up on TV.

Haha, I have my own fantastic worlds, bro. Yours I think are a bit too violent and dark for me to play in. You wouldn't know what to do with me there, and I would probably just get repeatedly blown up. Not a whole lot of fun for either of us. Well, maybe you.

A lot of really good creative ideas can come from walking in the cold, watching the wind rattle the trash cans and twigs. It's awesome. Try it, you'll like it!

And in most places you can still smoke outside, too, so no excuses!

Re: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare....

Anywhere outside I can smoke... :\ I would cause too much of a problem for any to wish to raise the issue with me ;\ And other smoking substances I obviously have to been indoors... I am solitary soul ;\ If I see anyone(the rare chance of that) I might freeze in shock and then collapse or something... I'll stare out of the window... Inface that on it's own has given me an idea....

Bro! You're welcome in my fantasy realm! No violence shown to guests!

Re: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare....

I liked the solitary special forces ones like Splinter Cell but have not played any since the Xbox first came out. I think the stealth element is what engaged me.

I disagree that these games influence kids to want to kill for real. There is a huge degree of separation there.

Only online game I play is really crap. Runescape. And I really have no idea why I keep playing it. Probably because I started playing it with my son 4 years ago and have several friends in game now, I have met about 12 people from that game and so the chat feature is my msn sort of. My character is pretty high level now too, that probably keeps me going. But it is boring and based on repetition rather than any skill. That said if you like doing repetitive tasks its not bad and is like WOW a game you can never reach the end of, as it has updates with new things to do every week.

I may buy an Xbox 360 as last time my son was over he brought his and I enjoyed Halo 3. But I may not. I simply do not have time.
