Burma

I have just been reading that the barriers around Aung San Suu Kyi's house have been removed, and that there are high hopes she will be released from her house arrest.

I have an interest in Burma but don't know all that much about what's going on. It seems that the UN is taking a more active interest in the country, with Kofi Annan himself appealing for Suu Kyi's release. What I want to know is, with growing international pressure, is it possible we will see any political change in Burma?

Also, is there anything an average Joe like myself can do?

Thanks,

Andy

Re: Burma

Seems the optimism is short-lived:
