Belief takes shape...

Someone sent me this link from the British Cartographic Society and their maplines section:

Basically, an attempt to incorporate a little belief into map-making...

Not overly detailed, but still an interesting novelty.

Perhaps not as good as the map I saw in the 1980's, where the figure of Margeret Thatcher was shaped as the British Isles.

Quite interesting, but somewhat of a failure as a map, I fear, since the overdrawings obscure the land masses too much. Still, it would be gorgeous in color framed as art work.
