Smile Alláh-u-abhá

Alláh-u-abhá dear Friends,

My name is Ruhi; you don't need to know my name irl. I am a seventeen year old American high-school senior going on super-senior. I am a member of the Bahá'í Faith. This means I believe that God is bigger than all the names and qualities we attribute to Him, and that His plan for humanity is ultimate unity, and that such unity can be achieved through following the teachings of Bahá'u'lláh, the Manifestation of God for this Age.

As I mentioned, I am going on being a super-senior, so academics are not my forte. In spite of this I plan on being in school for quite a while longer. As my religion is the center of my life, I want to pursue a career focused around it. I plan to achieve a doctorate in Mid and Near-East Studies and some study in theology. My ultimate goal is to work as a translator on my Faiths scriptures in Haifa, Israel, but I will probably end up working as a political and commercial translator or military analyst between now and then. To pursue these goals I am currently learning Arabic, and plan on learning Hebrew and Farsi eventually. All this means I will have to hold off on starting a family for a while, but I can't wait to do so. Bahá'u'lláh says in the Kitab-i-Aqdas:

"Enter into wedlock,
O people, that ye may bring forth one who will make
mention of Me amid My servants."

I am a writer at heart, and I love learning about languages and literature. Religion is one of my big passions, just the study of it and how it is relevant to our modern secular world. I express a lot of these passions in my daily life, I take advanced Literature classes, I attend various churches and worship centers, and I write regularly on my blog Seventy and Two where I give you my two cents on live and religion for free. (See, you make a 2 cent profit!)The internet takes up a lot of my time, and I am a Moderator at All Beliefs

Fun Facts
  • I love animals, I have two cats and a dog, and I have never met an animal I did not like.
  • I have at least some skill with Photoshop and image editing
  • I have a lot of pet peeves, and I complain about them often. My biggest one is people who complain about their pet peeves.
  • I am an optimist, and no one can convince me that the terms optimist and realist aren't synonymous.
  • I think God loves me more.
God Bless,
Ruhi

No, I am not this wordy or self obsessed, this is my staff description at another site and I thought it would make a nice full introduction.
