Alfred Kinsey
Hollywood is making a movie on the legendary sex researcher Alfred Kinsey, and the prudes are going nuts. I'm, personally, hoping a film will open up dialogue about Kinsey and thus expose many of the lies told about him by the prudes. Or at the very least, clearly illustrate his research through accurate depiction.
He's always been a hero of mine, but you wouldn't believe the lies told about his research. That he collaborated with Nazis (he interviewed an ex-Nazi), that he held a stopwatch while pedophiles raped children (he never used experiments, just interviews), that he was a pedophile himself, that he believed rape was justifiable, and so on. The man documented his research at length in several volumes, and yet the myths persist. Why is sex discussion such a fearful prospect for so many people? |

Ah...I thought the name rang some bells.
 However, Hollywood isn't exactly renown for being historically accurate, so I'm not too sure that a movie will do a great job of balancing the critics. |
