al-tashet

Can anybody here tell me what al-tashet means? I would also like to know how many dialects are there of Hebrew? I know this may seem a strange question. Thanks.

Re: al-tashet

I'm sorry. I don't know what it means.

Dialects of Hebrew though, let's see... There are many different ways of pronouncing Hebrew. There's the Ashkenazic, and then Litvak which is a type of ashkenazic, and then sefardic, and then yemeni, and then modern hebrew. Maybe some others I don't know about. Modern Hebrew I'm pretty sure is a cross between the ashkenazic and the sefardic, but I could be wrong.
