African witchcraft investigation turns sour

Interesting article about African churches in Britain, and how a police investigation into unconnected cases involving child abuse and ritual murder, ended up with local media declaring that African fringe churchs in London were involved in a mass orchestrated campaign of witchcraft-fed ritual murders.

As is stated here,

The key question now is how to extricate things from the present sorry mess. "It's all become a bit of an own goal for the Met," says Azah. "They wanted to work out how to engage better with the black community and have succeeded only in further alienating many of its members.
