Re: A new world is at hand

My heart is heavy. I'm not sure who said it - I think it may have been JJM who said some time ago how the Body of Christ is united in faith but not in truth.

Problem is that the bible that Mee reads from is a New World Translation. What would make you call a version of the bible a New World Translation? Perhaps a translation of the Bible for a New World Order? - But maybe I should calm down a bit as well because I find lately that whenever I post it takes folks a while to respond or they just go right over my thoughts. I'm not the Christian who fits in a particular denomination but when I use Bible reference in conversation it can be awfully confusing to effectively converse if I am using a Bible that is exclusive to other denominations. Plain and simple English is one thing, but the NWT says something totally different and what it is saying doesn't hold the power and strength of the Holy Spirit. Christianity is based in faith and faith can not be expound without the Holy Spirit.

To the people who believe it to be true, it does carry the power and strength of the Holy Spirit. I think we doom ourselves to frustration (and worse) if we don't see the possibility that others' hold their views as fervently as we do.

Re: A new world is at hand

There's quite a few beliefs here that I don't agree with - but I'm not really against them. I've wondered why we still indulge Mee in conversation if we take the doctrine in an offensive manner; I am offended by the doctrine because I was involved in it for the first twenty years of my life and I am against what I've seen it do to people - it is a Christian doctrine that is not equally yoked in any way with any other form of Christianity. It is completely divided from the body of Christ in faith. Anyway, I do agree that to those who believe, the doctrine does hold the power and strength of the Holy Spirit. My views are often different but that is how I interpret the Bible. That is not a big threat to anyone. A version of a Christian Bible that is interpreted differently is a threat to those who are Bible believers and especially to those who believe the Bible word for word.

this is pain & it is ok to feel & one day that pain will make you strong for His glory. there are many denominations that do the same thing by saying they are the TRUE church & the only ones.
Religious doctrines are mans ideas of how it is & i think they all have flaws.
It is only an issue when people make it an issue as in forcing someone or taking away someones belief. THAT IS THE THREAT PEOPLE MAKE without realizing it & we can all be guilty if we are not careful.
The hurt & death caused by religion is everywhere you go. It is all part of this.
The history of Christianity after Jesus & the Apostles, is not always been a pretty picture. A doctrine using force will not be of God & that goes for any of them. IMO
it makes me not want the title & that is ok for me.
Jesus left his body here. we still have a work to do. He knows who the members are & he will move them into position & we will know them.

You belong to a temple not made with hands Truthseeker. the temple of the living God, not a doctrine about God & not a religion. If we keep our eyes on Jesus, we will not be blinded or fall by the winds of doctrine.
Keep your eyes on Jesus and you are in my prayers..& i love you a lot

TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS
LOOK FULL IN HIS WONDEFUL FACE
AND THE THINGS OF EARTH
WILL GROW STRANGELY DIM
IN THE LIGHT OF HIS GLORY AND GRACE

all bibles have the same theme running through them ,and that theme is that God will bring a new heaven and a new earth , so the theme is the same which ever bible you choice to read . from Genesis to revelation the theme is that Gods kingdom will bring peace to the earth that is why our bible is called the new world translation because the bible promise is that Jehovah will make all things new2 peter;3;13
But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell

The One seated on the throne said: ‘Look! I am making all things new.’ Also, he says: . . . ‘These words are faithful and true.’"—REVELATION 21:5.

And he will certainly render judgment among many peoples, and set matters straight respecting mighty nations far away. And they will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. They will not lift up sword, nation against nation, neither will they learn war anymore. And they will actually sit, each one under his vine and under his fig tree, and there will be no one making [them] tremble; for the very mouth of Jehovah of armies has spoken [it] micah 4;3-4 this is the promise of all bibles

A new world is at hand

Chronology is a study of the relationship between time and events. Jesus spoke of a time during which the leaders of the world would occupy center stage without interference from God’s Kingdom.

Jesus called that period "the appointed times of the nations." (Luke 21:24)

At the end of those "appointed times," God’s heavenly Kingdom would come to power, with Jesus as its rightful Ruler.

At first, Jesus would rule "in the midst of [his] enemies." (Psalm 110:2)

Then, according to Daniel 2:44, the Kingdom would "crush and put an end" to all human governments, and it would stand forever.

yes a new world is at hand

TV is not stupid, the people running it might be considered such though...

A new world is at hand

In the new world, warfare will be a thing of the past but not because statesmen have succeeded in disarming the nations.

Rather, God will act where political rulers have failed.

He will bring peace to obedient mankind in keeping with these words of the psalmist:

"Come, you people, behold the activities of Jehovah, how he has set astonishing events on the earth. He is making wars to cease to the extremity of the earth. The bow he breaks apart and does cut the spear in pieces; the wagons he burns in the fire." (Psalm 46:8, 9)

In God’s promised new world so near at hand, people will wage war no more but will enjoy true peace and security.—Micah 4:2-4.
